Study Program Description
Visual Communication Design S-1 Study Program (DKV) Faculty of Fine Arts and Design as a center of excellence for creativity and science to form individuals who are independent, intelligent, creative, competitive, and have character through collaborative learning in the process of designing and studying design and its application in various media both through digital and manual technology devices to create creative industry products in the field of visual communication design based on the cultural character of Nusantara.

Graduate Profile
Graduates of the Visual Communication Design Study Program can act as:

  1. Advertising Designer, as an ad designer who has the ability to express ideas and design concepts by developing design strategies (selecting, organizing, creating) forms of persuasive communication through creative visual communication media (print, audio, audio visual) both manually and digitally as well as being able to develop skills from a conceptual, practical, and entrepreneurial development perspective.
  2. Advertisement Researcher (reviewer), as researcher who will cover observation, description, interpretation, analysis, and evaluation of various visual communication design phenomena embodied in the form of scientific work based on scientific principles.
  3. Graphic Designers, as creative staff who have the ability to carry out design strategies (select, arrange, create) visual elements (illustrations, photos, writing, shapes and lines) through visual communication media (print, audio, audio visual) in accordance with the objectives to be produced and communicated as messages and to be able to develop abilities from a conceptual, practical, and entrepreneurial development perspective, and
  4. Interactive Multimedia Designer (Animation), to be creative staff who have the ability to devise creative strategies in the production of interactive multimedia (animation) through the design process (select, arrange, create) moving images through hand drawing techniques (manual) or digital (computer) to support certain works (films, advertisements, religion and interactive media) as well as being able to develop skills from a conceptual, practical, and entrepreneurial development perspective.

  1. Mastering the skills and sensitivity of processing visual elements or designs by considering design principles in visual design media.
  2. Ability to create advertising materials with local content principles manually and digitally.

  5. Ability to process letters/typography manually and digitally.
  6. Ability to design visual communication media with the support of drawing skills manually or with digital technology.
  7. Apply the theory, elements and basic principles of visual communication design.
  8. Mastering the principles of the design stages of visual communication design and its application in various media.
  9. Mastering the principles of project management and drafting of visual communication design draft documents.
  10. Ability to supervise industrial production with visual communication.
